Here is how to get around Lake Annecy without using your car.
1. Annecy and its lake by bike
The cycle path around Lake Annecy is accessible directly from the campsite: it is 36 km long and runs alongside the crystal-clear waters, which are among the purest in France! You can cycle it for between 1 and 2.5 hours, depending on your pace and the length of your swimming or picnic breaks. There is only one difficulty: the climb to Talloires, which will delight those who love the difference in altitude. As the road is constantly clogged, the bicycle option is the right one. We highly recommend it.
Please note: The Europa campsite has a bike rental service on site, for the whole family (classic bikes, children's mountain bikes and electric bikes).
2. Buses from beach to beach
It's easy, fast and free! To get around the problem of traffic jams in summer around Lake Annecy, the lake line serves the beaches and the centre of Annecy every 30 minutes from 10am to 11pm, and the "Semnoz" line makes it easier for you to get some fresh air in the mountains and see the magnificent panorama of the Alps. 3. Boat shuttles
We may not think about it as much, but the boat shuttles make it possible to go from one shore to the other or from one beach to the other in the most pleasant way. Three "Lake Annecy Express" boat lines allow you to reach the beaches in no time! As part of the "Mobil'été" mobility offers, 2 lake shuttle lines link Annecy, the west bank (Sevrier - Saint-Jorioz - Duingt) and the east bank of the lake (Veyrier-du-Lac - Menthon-Saint-Bernard - Talloires-Montmin).
Last detail: to get to the Camping Europa from the Annecy bus station, take bus line 50A (Annecy-Duingt) - the service is regular - and choose the "Tuileries" stop. The campsite is 200m away.
